In my brain case
Hello ladies and gentleman. Rob Talbert here which hasn't happend for quit some time. I have had my attention on other aspects of the company and I figured I should stop by and give you a little whats what with me of late.
Exactly The Wrong Person; How it came to be
A few months back, our film The Black-Eyed Children was excepted into the Horrorfind Film Festival. While the crew and I were there, we viewed several films by other indie film companies. I was very fond of many of the flicks from the slasher genre that were at the fest. When everything was said and done and the neon crew got back home, I got to thinking, it would be really fun to make a short slasher flick to test out our new Depth Of Field adapter and Fixed 50mm lens.
Been a while but I'm back......
Welcome ladies and gentleman to my blog column. I of course am the little known Rob Talbert (sound technician) and I am here today to give you an update regarding whats going on here at the neon reel office. Frankly at lot has been going on since our big public showing at the Horrorfind Film Festival back in September. Just a little over a month has past and we are hard at work for 2 upcoming projects.
Post Horrorfind Film Festival
As cliche as this statement sounds, here it goes: It has been a very exciting time over the past few months (cliche and cheesy right?). A lot has been going on-- The Horrorfind Film Festival (neon reel was also a vendor there), neon reel got into my local paper and was recognized on the local news cast etc. It feels surreal. At this time, a year ago, no one even knew who neon reel was (other than friends and family).
