Welcome back to another unethical edition of The Fuckers Corner. I am your host- The Fucker.

This week, I would like to bitch about a conversation I had this week pertaining to me being a weekend warrior of sorts. I was speaking to a friend this week about "having a few" and I use the term loosely, to enjoy my Saturday's. Apparently, he perceives catching the odd beer buzz every now and again to be unethical at my age and out right irresponsible. To this, I had to be dumb enough to ask why? That’s all, I simply ask why.

I caught an earful, as I stood astounded. Never have this guy and I even disagreed on anything but apparently we differ greatly on this topic. He said to me, "at your age you should know better than to be drinking." First of all I don't really drink - just when I do my blog and on the weekends. Hell, it's usually just one on Sundays. So, I don't even drink all the weekend. I retorted this to him and he just shook his head.

What the Fuck is going on here? I began to think. How did this conversation even begin? Now, I couldn't even tell you but it has me kinda pissed off. Foremost, I’m a grown ass man and I alone should be the one to decide what is wrong and what is right for me to do.

Frankly, I think everyone should have a couple on the weekend to squash some of the workweek stress. There are a lot of pricks that need to calm down and a good lager here and there could do just that. Life is hard sometimes is it not? So another thing he touched on was Christianity and the Bible. All well and good but shit hit the wall when I brought up Jesus and wine. This man tried to tell me that the wine was non-alcoholic. It makes no damn sense to me. Isn't non-alcoholic wine called grape juice? Who in their right mind would believe that?

Here are two separate verses I used to display my point. Number 1 being - And do not get drunk with wine… Eph 5:18. I feel that one to be explanatory in itself. Number 2 is - Give strong drink to him who is perishing, and wine to him whose life is bitter… Proverbs 31:6.

As far as I’m concerned number 2 means being intoxicated is okay if you’re dying. Other wise if life gives you lemons, add a small amount of vodka and ice and enjoy ;)

Personally, I think generously unwinding is just great as long as you do it responsibly. No harm no foul, just liquid meditation at it's finest. Anyway we ended the discussion with our points out there and agreed to disagree. I just wanted to make this point regarding all of this shit in a nutshell.

I have only one life to live and I’m going to try to enjoy it as often as possible and I refuse to excuse myself for that. If you want to be a fuckin prude and miss out, that’s your business. Me? I’m in the weekend warrior business and business is good.
