Hello ladies and gentleman. Rob Talbert here which hasn't happend for quit some time. I have had my attention on other aspects of the company and I figured I should stop by and give you a little whats what with me of late.
I had intended to re focus my attention on blogs for a while between "Exactly the Wrong Person" and our upcoming project "The Darkness and Tom Markos." Unfortunitly and fortunitly both I have writing more or less on my mind. After writing Markos, I had decieded I would revisit another script I had begun writing somewhere down the road and I still intend to do so. I thought I would give writing a break but I have so many ideas banging around in my brain case. So..... the other day I had a really weird thought for a short 8 to 10 min. film and I begun piecing it together. I had a great time doing so and it leads me to believe that writing may be a new side passion I have.
I would have never considered myself artistic nor do I now but I have been feeling artistic in short spurts here of late. Also I feel like anything I can give for the company I should do so. No one here at neon reel has one job. We all do several things Matt especially which motivates me to do more and work harder if that makes any sense. I know my writing is just a bar above alright but thankfully I have Steve Shives to come in and clean up my brain farts for a lack of better words. Not that he hasn't enough to do but he is very cool and happy to help.
Currently we are in that exciting phase before pre production in which we are just getting everything ready to begin our project. I love this phase because it helps build anticipation for the intended product to come. But maybe I digress again. Point being is that with the holidays and pre production fastly approaching I have been very busy. Cant seem to find enough hours in the day. I do however know that 2012 is going to be a year where I throw down blogs like crazy whether promoting work or informing you the reader whats going on.
At this point however, I have to be going to get in some much needed reading of the genius Stephen King. His writing really puts me in the mood to film. Cant go wrong with King. So I'll be back in a week or two and until then please have a safe and happy holidays! Peace, I'm out!
