Long Time No See

Long time no see. It has been a while since my last blog post (two weeks yikes); I have to admit; things have been a bit hectic with my life and neon reel.

On a positive note, and with the location problem aside, an Hour Out is moving ahead with full steam. We have had three successful rehearsals (you can read about them here: R1, R2, R3) thus far. Personally, I am blown away by the dedication of our actors. It can be summed up by saying, “If I ask them to take four steps forward they jog a quarter mile and if I ask them to jog a quarter mile they start jumping over hurdles.”

In every rehearsal we have had, there has been great group discussions and many positive vibes. My cinematographer Tony Holweck has pointed out many small details that would have otherwise left the story with holes that would expand in time.

Scriptwriter, Steve Shives has even said from time to time that some of the actors sound exactly like the voices in his head when he wrote the script.

Everything is moving forward. However, the lack of a location is becoming a pinprick in my side. If you, or anyone you know, have any ideas or suggestions for a location please visit here for more information on what we are looking for.
