The Herald-Mail puts neon reel entertainment in print
As we make final preparations before heading off to Gettysburg for the weekend, take this opportunity to read an article published in The Herald-Mail, September 1st edition, from interviews with the cast and crew of “The Black Eyed Children”. If you don’t have access to the print edition, the article can be found online here.
Details for the Horror Convention HorrorFind Weekend can be found in the article as well as the reactions of cast and crew after learning that “The Black Eyed Children” would be among those chosen for the film festival.
This article is following a recent NBC25 news piece, which aired August 29, 2011, that reported neon reel to be the first independent film crew, from Washington County, to be accepted into the annual Labor Day film festival to be held in conjunction with the 2011 Horrorfind Film Convention.
At this time, we are finalizing a couple last minute items before leaving for the film festival Friday morning. neon reel will be in the Dealer’s room with the vendors. Come by our booth to meet us and enter into our raffle giveaway, purchase copies of the “The Black-Eyed Children” or neon reel t-shirts.
The entire neon reel crew is excited for the weekend and is looking forward to seeing the films that were accepted into this year’s festival.
“Personally, I am excited to see them,” said Matzen. “I feel like some of them have a lot to offer; to learn from. It’s always good to see other independent work and have the opportunity to interact with other film crews.”
We can’t wait to see everyone at the convention. However, fans who are unable to attend the Horror Convention Horrorfind Weekend in Gettysburg this weekend, will get the chance to watch “The Black Eyed Children” September 23rd, at 7:00 p.m., at the Smithsburg Library.
